This volunteer works from the Friends office, preferably on Mondays, but that is negotiable. This job requires basic computer skills, ability to prepare books for mailing and dropping pkg. at PO or mail service. Some Mondays have no items to ship; today there were 4 items. They will know before coming to the library how many items (if any) need to be shipped. My estimate is that each items takes 10-15 minutes.

This is a Board position. The coordinator works with a team to keep an accurate list of volunteers for the various Friends activities. The technology used is already in place. The person who moves into this position should be comfortable enough with technology that they would be willing to learn it. The current volunteer coordinator will be available to do any needed training.

For these sales we are looking for volunteers who will help with set up of the books the day before the sale, help transport books to the sale location, monitor the doors, monitor the tables of books to keep them tidy, assist the customers and help with cleanup following the sale. The mini sales generally take place at the downtown library and the large sale in April takes place at the Lane County Fair Grounds.
