Requesting Your Used Book Donations

Your gently used books can have a second chapter—and help support Eugene Public Library at the same time.

The Friends of Eugene Public Library are asking our community to donate gently used books and recent media in good condition. Every donation helps us keep books in circulation while raising funds to support programs and services at Eugene Public Library.

Give Your Books a Second Chapter

Every year, our dedicated volunteers sort, research, price, move, pack, and sell tens of thousands of donated books. These books find new readers through our Second Hand Prose bookstore, local book sales, and our online stores.

The proceeds from these activities help provide ongoing financial support to Eugene Public Library and its programs.

So, before you put those books aside, consider giving them a second life—and helping your local library in the process!

Have a Large Donation?

If you have a large volume of books or have difficulty bringing your donations to one of our collection locations, you can arrange a pickup by calling (541) 484-1452 or contacting us by email.

Please box or bag your books and have them ready in an easily accessible area for pickup.
