Mayor Piercy presents 2016 Community Award to FEPL and EPLF
During the 2016 State of the City ceremony on January 6, Mayor Kitty Piercy presented the 2016 Community Award to The Friends of the Eugene Public Library (FEPL) and The Eugene Public Library Foundation (EPLF) in honor of our “outstanding work of the Friends of the Eugene Public Library, particularly your recent support of the five-year Library Levy, which is deserving of our collective thanks and gratitude. The time and effort you and others give to this initiative is a remarkable service that truly enriches the cultural life of the community. For this reason, I hope you will honor us to accept this Community Award which recognizes great service and leadership and celebrates the people who make this such a great place to live.” Thanks to all the volunteers who have given of their time, talents and resources for nearly forty years to #helpushelpEPL.
