Friends of Eugene Public  Library

  Can you help?
Friends of Eugene Public Library has an opening to join the team that processes incoming book/media donations for our various sales venues: Annual Book Sale, minisales(our frequent popup sales at Downtown EPL), online sales and our used bookstore, Second Hand Prose.  This job is a Good as New Fiction specialist.  It involves a couple of hours a week September – April, selecting the newest and nicest fiction from the incoming book/media donations; spiffing up the books a little as needed, pricing and packing the items for storage at our warehouse, and working 2-3 days in the Good as New section at our annual Book Sale at Lane County Events Center.  (Our next sale will be April 14-15, 2018, with setup the 13th.)  What are the benefits to you?  You will be helping the Friends raise monies for EPL programs, getting a look at the newest and nicest fiction and, especially, working with a great group of dedicated volunteers.  Sound like something that interests you?  For more information please contact Carol Hildebrand 541-344-4267    Thanks very much; we depend on our volunteers to #helpushelpEPL.

Walk with the Friends of Eugene Public Library in the EUG Parade

Click on the poster for more information.   It's going to be EUG! The date is July 30th.   We will gather in Monroe Park at about 10:00 am to get ready for a 10:30 start time. The theme is "Look up". We will be pushing library carts saying things like 'Look (it) Up - the alternative to fake news". We are looking for folks to join in all or part of the parade (as a member - or not - of the Dewey “Decibelles”) and/or help us come up with clever signs or ideas that will connect Eugene Public Library and FEPL to the theme. If you are interested, send us an email at Check back for more information.  Hope to see you there!
